Aehso’s Output is authored by John O’Shea.

(I’d better explain ‘Aehso’ first – back in the CSIS Labs in the University Of Limerick we started playing LAN games like Doom, Duke Nukem and Warcraft. Yes, I’m talking that long ago, ‘93-’97. I always signed into games as ‘Aehso’ and ever since I’ve been explaining that it’s just OShea backwards.)

Full resume/CV details are available in my LinkedIn Profile I’m currently working for Amazon/AWS, building some very cool system monitoring stuff.

Previously, I was Head Of Engineering in Delta Index building a new realtime trading platform which was accessed by flash clients via RESTful APIs (even though ActionScript has pretty awful HTTP APIs) Before that, I was CTO of Nooked, working on developing a RESTful feed syndication and publishing service API. Syndication (RSS/OPML/Atom/AtomPub), Web 2.0/Ajax toolkits and Ruby/Rails were core to my work there.

I’ve been living in Dublin (Ireland) since ‘97, and have worked for software vendors like Iona Technologies (pre internet bubble, Irish, distributed systems startup), IBM Ireland (huuuge multinational), Headway Software(mid-bubble, Irish, sofware structure startup), S1 (bubble surviving, online banking multinational) and most recently Cape Clear Software (web services visionaries) where I lead development of Cape Clear Studio 7.

Along the way, I’ve also been a team lead, development process architect, service/tools architect, SCM administrator, build master and database administrator. Generally, I’m interested in developing ideas into implementations using lightweight APIs, frameworks, tools and agile processes.

I married Aine in June 2008 and being a geek I occasionally blog about toys. Being an Irish bloke in his early thirties, I support Liverpool FC.
