Winning hearts and minds

I can’t describe how disturbing this is, one wonders what the bullshit justification for this will be - stupidity, stress, orders?

The situation in Iraq is unacceptable to the American people — and it is unacceptable to me. Our troops in Iraq have fought bravely. They have done everything we have asked them to do. Where mistakes have been made, the responsibility rests with me.

- An excerpt from President Bush’s speech on Jan 10th, 2007. Responsibility, anyone?

  1. Yes, it is a mess. Yes this administration has made a mess. But it is now an American mess, not just a Bush mess.
The consequences of failure are simply to high. If you think there are problems in the world now, wait until the US withdraws. The current Iraqi government falls. The Saudis start funding Sunnis (spelled Al Qaeda) in western Iraq, and the Iranians are “invited” by their Shia brethern to occupy the eastern Iraq. Think it over…
