Dublin in Second Life

June 25th, 2006

I spent an hour today installing Second Life and even managed to wander around Dublin:

Wow, pretty impressive, me flying over O’Connell Street Bridge at night, I have always wanted to do that! I also checked out the virtual view from the top of the virual spire (or “Berties Pole” as it is called in-game)
Dublin is even near Las Vegas on the SL world map – if only!

Jaysus, can you not click on the links in the post!

Sign up for a Second Life account, download the client and fire it up. Create a character and then teleport to “Dublin” (secondlife://Dublin/146/102/25) and you’ll see what I mean…

reminds me of a really crappy Quake 2 user-contributed level ;)

    Felt like that a little too – maybe that’s why we never left DM4 & DM6 :-o
I’d imagine there are no rocket launchers in SL either and I could never play Quake without rockets…
